Ecoresponsible AUDIT

The question is no longer IF you should adopt a more sustainable approach, but WHEN. And to get started on the right foot, we offer a comprehensive environmental impact assessment of your current packaging—completely free of charge. We know that the path to eco-design can be complex, which is why we are committed to helping you gain a clearer understanding of your packaging’s composition.

Your GOALS

This solution is for you if you want to:

Objective 1

Understand your EPR contribution: Our team is here to support you in interpreting the current provincial standards based on your packaging data.

Objective 2

Know the GHG emissions associated with your packaging: we provide a complete, detailed report — based on a recognized methodology¹ — that precisely quantifies the greenhouse gas emissions generated.

Objective 3

Reduce your carbon footprint: with the right tools and insights, you’ll be empowered to take your sustainability efforts even further by choosing more eco-friendly packaging.

Our GOAL

Helping you gain clarity!

We support our clients in their eco-design journey by helping them better understand the environmental impact of their packaging through our proven methodology¹.

Revolutionizing packaging for a sustainable world™ starts with knowledge and sharing our expertise!

3 steps and It's DONE

01. Reception, observation, and classification

Once we receive your samples, our team gets to work sorting materials and categorizing them—recyclable, reusable, compostable, and more.

02. Analysis

Measurement, calculation of the GHG¹ emissions generated by your packaging, and analysis of eco-responsible attributes by component are just a few of the assessments carried out.

03. Report writing and results presentation

We compile and present a comprehensive report evaluating your packaging based on six key criteria.

Evaluated ELEMENTS

 Number of components used

 Percentage of recyclable components²

 Estimated empty space, when applicable

 Material weight per identified component

GHG¹ emissions generated by current packaging

Duration of mandate

2 - 3 weeks

¹ Tests conducted according to ISTA and ASTM standards. GHG emissions calculated in accordance with ISO 14064-2. Refer to our complete methodology for full details.

² Recyclable in the province or target market.

Did you know that 51% of consumers consider their packages to be overpacked? However, 20% of merchandise returns are damaged products. There is therefore a very fine line between over-packaged or under-packaged merchandise and optimal packaging! Is it possible to have both a suitably packaged parcel and an eco-responsible packaging?

The synergy between Rotec and CARTIER has been nothing short of transformative. Together, we embarked on an innovative project, aligning our expertise and ambition to set new industry benchmarks.
