Today, CARTIER is turning words into action with an ambitious project: supporting businesses in collectively reducing up to 500 tons of plastic by 2030. This is not just a campaign, it’s a collective movement to transform packaging, one ton of plastic at a time.

In line with the actions already undertaken to Revolutionize Packaging Towards a Sustainable World™, this initiative strengthens the consistency of our message and reflects the courage to act now. A clear call to move from words to results.

How we MAKE IT HAPPEN

Diagnose

We examine your packaging and pallets to uncover overpackaging.

Optimize

Our experts and lab craft the ideal solution: never too much, never too little.

Measure

Through comparison, we calculate the concrete gains: plastic eliminated, GHGs avoided, savings generated.

In concrete terms, the amount of stretch film used
PER PALLET COULD DROP...

Why join THE PROJECT?

01. To redue your plastic consumption

Using less plastic also means reducing its environmental impact.

02. To reduce waste at the source

The less we use, the less needs to be produced, and the planet can breathe easier.

03. To often save money

Reducing materials can also mean reducing costs.

Did you KNOW?

Four metric tons, that’s the average weight of an Asian elephant

Reaching our goal of 500 metric tons is the equivalent of saving the weight of 125 elephants! Thanks to the projects carried out since the beginning of the year, and based on a recognized evaluation validated by an independent expert firm, the full adoption of the solutions proposed by our Laboratory would translate into a reduction of up to 108 metric tons of plastic, the equivalent weight of 27 elephants!

Pretty good start, wouldn’t you say?

Why PLASTIC?

The packaging market alone accounts for nearly half of all plastic waste produced worldwide.

More than 91% of Canadians support a strategy to reduce plastic waste.

Since 2015, it is estimated that only 9% of plastic waste has been recycled. Which is why it is so important to reduce waste at source!
